To Our Valued Patients

We have temporarily closed our office in order to help contain the spread of the COVID-19 virus and to keep our patients and staff safe. Patients who have appointments on March 18 who we were unable to reach in time to cancel, will be accommodated. We hope to reopen on March 30, 2020. We will be closely monitoring this evolving situation and will keep you informed of any changes via email, Facebook, Instagram and our website.

Limited staff will be available in the office for any urgent concerns or medication refills, M – F from 9-3:00 pm. In the meantime, we are continuing to explore the options for tele-dermatology appointments for patients with urgent concerns who don’t wish to travel to the office.

We appreciate your patience during this difficult time. Our priority is and always will be the health and welfare of our staff, loved ones, each and every one of you, and our community as a whole.

Stay well,

Rosacea

What is Rosacea?

Rosacea is a chronic skin disease that causes redness and swelling on the face. The scalp, neck, ears, chest, back and/or eyes may also be affected.

Rosacea Symptoms

Symptoms range from red pimples, lines and visible blood vessels to dry or burning skin and a tendency to flush easily. Many people find that the emotional effects of rosacea – such as low self-confidence and avoidance of social situations – are more difficult to handle than the physical ones. Although it can affect anyone, rosacea typically appears in light-skinned, light-haired adults aged 30-50.

Rosacea Treatment

It is not yet known what causes rosacea and the disease is not curable, although rosacea therapy can improve symptoms. Rosacea therapy can consist of treatment with topical and oral medications, laser therapy or laser surgery.
