Chemical peels are a marvelous tool for removing sun damage as well as treating acne. All peels are not created equal. Chemical peels range from the very superficial with little to no downtime (“lunchtime peels”) to deep chemical peels that are involved surgical procedures. Most of the peels we perform in our office are light to medium depth peels. We have great success using medical grade peels in our acne patients to literally peel away the blemishes and clogged pores, revealing clearer skin that can be maintained with proper product usage, both prescription and over the counter. Our back peels are very popular to help clear back acne prior to the start of swimsuit season. Please be advised that although they are quite beneficial for treating acne, peels are not covered by medical insurance. At Calkin Boudreaux, we are sensitive to the value of your money. We have priced our medical peels below those pampering peels and facials you can have at a spa. While you might miss the groovy music, you will appreciate the results.
